Porsche Boxster maybe? Just guessing as would fit the mid life crisis bit quite well.

lol You can't mention anything without prying ears these days;

Yeah got another (yawn) new motor and another long time itch that I've wanted to scratch. Didn't think to post up because I don't think most would like or appreciate it, but then I've never gone for what others think.

The sun has decided to put his hat on, so wanted to keep budget reasonably low, and just get a 2 seater convertible for some summer fun, and my yearly trip to le-man so got myself a tidy BMW Z4 3.0 convertible, in Sapphire black, 18" alloys, red leather, fully loaded inc satnav, and love it.

I can see why they say the straight 6 - 3 ltr engine is one of the best engines about, it goes very well, sounds glorious, built quality as you would expect from German, and a real hoot to drive.

I'll post up some pics at some point, and let the BMW / hairdresser driver digs role

Still got my wagon and keeping that as well.

Rob,

Just don't go out for a test drive with me or any other bloke sat beside you.
Remember what your wife said about 2 blokes in the Honda S2000 when we took it out.
Which was probably one of the reasons you sold it ....

Have to say that I love my BMs so I can definitely see the appeal as I had a 330 convert for a little while. Love the howl of the straight sixes. Had a 328i saloon as well both auto though. Would have loved a manual.
