Default STi RearShock knock Fix

Not sure if this has been posted before, but as I'm thinking of getting a Hawkeye thought I woulddo a bit of research.

Good find, I wonder if it would possible to fit grease nipple without taking strut off? You would have to prevent drill hitting inner shaft and stop metal swarf getting inside strut. Think I will do this on a spare set of sti struts I have in the shed.

It's nice to know there is an easy fix. Good explanations on why it happens too. Note this fix is only for the inverted strut sti.

"Inverted" my struts look the same as in video, they came of a jdm bugeye sti 2001 plate so I gather they are the inverted type?
