the short version of events ........
we bought a secondhand camper the week before it happened and took it out on fathers day to try it out.
We were cooking outside and the gas ran out ,so i went into the camper to get a spare canister(the small push fit type).
Stupidly i changed it inside ,the gas started to leak out then caught alight off the pilot light on the fridge, then the whole thing turned it a fireball and turned me into the human torch off the xmen.I was only in there for about 4 or 5 seconds when i jumped out the back doors and told my wife i think i had better go to hospital.Got bluelighted up to the burns unit in east grinstead(top place) spent 12 days in there and then back home.
My arm ,face and hands have now nearly healed, legs taking abit longer(not as scabby now).
The campers fine as my wife put it out with a fire extinguisher(they are selling fire extinguishers in lidl for a fiver at the moment,i bought 4 ,2 for the camper ,1for the house and 1 for the scoob)

what percentage of burns have you got? Looks painful.

I burnet my arm quite badly a few years back and you wouldn't know now looking at it....the body quickly heals.

There has got to be easier ways for getting your legs waxed

Looks to be healing remarkably well. Looks like the short time in the fire has just fried your top layer of skin, much longer and any scaring would have been much worse.

Already got 2 extinguishers, but I will be getting another 2 as soon as possible having seen / heard this.

it was 14.5% burns anymore and its classed as a major burns(felt pretty bloody major at the time).Luckily it didnt go full thickness,so i dont need skin graphs but that means nerve endings were burnt but not killed off so max pain.
But looking on the bright side my dad and 2 daughters were standing next to me 10 seconds earlier and i have lovely smooth skin now

That don't bare thinking about, I'm not too sure I could live with myself if the same thing happened to me and my daughters got caught up in it.! As a bloke you can get away with a few battle scars, but................ shudder don't even want to think about it.
