Default Strange rear tyre wear

Not on the Scoob but the Passat.

That's a Goodyear F1 Asy 3 with 5mm of tread and that groove worn into the inside edge.

Drivers side wasn't quite as bad

I'm going to get it booked in for a 4 wheel alignment, could be worn bushes on the rear sub frame or rear arms. Thought it was a wheel bearing as making a real droning noise.

I had trouble with my Asy 2's wearing unusually.

Reading up, they are prone to it and they prefer being inflated a bit more than most.

Wonder if it's the same with these.

My front ones went on the outer edges at the front within a year (about 12-13k miles). My winter tyres do not suffer in the same way, so that suggests it's not anything related to the car.

Been doing a bit more research this afternoon and the Passats are renown for it, bushes wear prematurely and camber and toe settings for the rear need to be different to the what VW recommend. More expense.
