Default Oil pressure?

Just wondered if someone can tell me what my oil pressure should be, got a ps13 data monitor and it varies really, never goes below 5.9 bar and never goes above 6.2 bar except today it went up to about 6.6 bar, I have no idea what it should be but I'm guessing these are WRONG, cars a 2000 plate turbo 2000. Thanks everyone.

Sounds about right, should be much less at idle (around 3.0) when the oil is hot, but 5.9 6.2 is about right for warmish oil. cold the oil should be 6bar at idle, I have peak recorded at just under 7 bar (that is on defi gauges so probably a little over reading..)

Worth getting it checked but 9 times out of 10 it's just the gauges.

when the car is cold or under load you will always see around 6BAR, once warmed up when it idles the pressure will normally sit around 3BAR

mine cold is about 7 bar and warmed up in heavy traffic, 1.8 bar min. has been like that for about 2yrs (since I fitted the gauges) and done about 20K miles so 1.8 bar must be fine.
it's going to vary a little anyway compared to everyone else depending on what your oil is, and the manufacturer, and it's age.

Not sure how the ps13 data monitor works for oil pressure as it runs from the obd port which has no true oil pressure signal AFAIK.
