Some scrote has stolen my wife's cat
Saturday night while the Galaxy was parked in the road outside the house. I'm fuming, but what to do? If I just replace it (and the downpipe, as they took part of that as well) what's to stop them doing it again?
Considering CCTV, and I understand there are devices to go over the cat, but not sure the investment's worth it on a £3k car. And what a lot of effort to go to for £20 from the scrappy! |

Sods
Unfortunately they're worth a lot more than £20 if they're an OEM cat off a modern car. Manufacturers are using more precious metals in them to try and bring their emissions down (especially cars manufactured in Europe). |

Well, the car is 10 years old and we've clocked up over 112,000 miles on the original system. quote for replacement with OEM parts is £1,450 so we're not going that way, it'll be a pattern part.
Looking at buying a cat lock to deter future attempts but it's a real pain! If we didn't like the car so much it would be off to the scrappy. |
