Default Car Insurance Scheme with Prestige Keep Moving

Car enthusiast? WE VIEW YOU AS A BETTER DRIVER MEANING WE CAN OFFER CHEAPER PREMIUMS!

"Just sorted out my policy with these guys. Think they were the most helpful insurance company I have ever spoke to and would recommend them to anyone before any other company. Glad I could join these even left my existing policy 6 months into it. So thank you Prestige." Mr J, Flintshire

Prestige Keep Moving Car Insurance Scheme – http://www.prestigekeepmoving.com/p/car-clubs.html - which is provided by The A&A Group Ltd.
We have a fantastic car insurance scheme for the members of car enthusiast clubs/groups, and that is mainly due to 5 things –

1. You are entitled to a FREE MOT worth up to £54.85 at any Halfords Autocentre when you renew your car insurance with us.
2. There are very few exclusions on the scheme! It starts at age 21 and includes all postcodes (excludes Northern Ireland), and all modifications (except nitrous). If you wish to insure a ‘performance’ vehicle on our scheme, then you must have at least a years experience of driving that or similar bhp car.
3. The premiums have to be competitive for the scheme to succeed.
4. We have an excellent phone answering system. An overhead computer screen changes to red when a phone call is on hold, alerting the Team Manager. We have a great emphasis on answering calls.
5. We have an excellent Claims Accident Management company.

Feedback
· 'Well I've got to say I'm extremely pleased with the service....extremely helpful and courteous doing exactly what they said they'd do. And to top it all my premium is less than my renewal and has £150 less excess too! I will recommend you to others and can say to folks on here, give them a try, they've been exceptional with me.'
· 'Prestige definitely treated me right Beat all the competitors quotes and even found out for me about modifications, their value and even buying the car back in event of anything happening.'
· 'Prestige saved me almost £100 from the best quote I've had so far. £550 for living in N10 is great price as I had to pay around £900 last year. I'd like to thank Dave from Prestige who knew what he was talking about with no nonsense questions and he was the only agent I spoke to during my call and he did call me back as promised.'
· 'Quick, efficient, helpful. Take it from me, this is insurance with a human touch! I would encourage anyone who needs a quote to give Prestige a ring, what have you got to lose?'

The main reason we can offer this scheme to you is because members of car enthusiast groups are viewed as better drivers which allows us to offer cheaper premiums.

Please call us on 0800 3308057 or 0333 4001580 for mobiles as it can be included in any ‘free minutes’. We are open Monday-Friday 9am-8pm and Saturdays 9am-4pm and please don’t forget to mention this club when ringing as this scheme is geared for the users of car enthusiast groups!

Please also join our Facebook Group - http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/clubsinsurance

Kind regards
Tim

Hi Tim,

Thanks for posting up. I've edited the thread title/post slightly as it looks like SES is endorsing/recommending your insurance scheme, which we obviously cannot as the Admin/Moderator team have not personally tried it.

However, as per my email, we are happy for you to post this thread as it might be a useful service to some of our members - we're always keen to hear of options that might save our members money

Regards,
Steve

Hi Tim,

Do you offer Track Cover ?
If so is it included in the annual premium or can it be purchased on an as/when bassis as a top up to your existing policy ?

What is your opinion on insurance for the NurburgRing, Germany. As this for many insurers this is a grey area.
Will the standard policy cover it, as it is a public toll road ?
Will a trackday policy cover it ? bearing in mind that on 'tourist days' it is open to the public and therefore not a 'trackday'. Therefore, giving the insurer a get out clause, should the worst happen.

any info appreciated................

Thanks Steve

Hi SilverSurfer
Unfortunately we don't offer track day cover or cover for the Nurburgring so I can't give any advice on it, sorry.

OK thanks Tim, looks like I'll be sticking with using Moley at Keith Michaels. He has been providing competitive 'modified vehicle' insurance for me for 5+ years. Plus they are also able to provide as/when Track Cover and Nurburgring cover, for our annual trip to the fatherland.

Cost of Comprehensive car insurance premiums drops 14%!

It was even better for TB from the Hyundai Coupe Owners Club when he rung us for a quote! He said he ‘saved over 50% by switching’ to us!

Please be aware!

Plus a bit of feedback about our scheme –

· Worked for me saved over £150. MK, Dorset Modified Car Club
· Hi Guys and girls, if your coming to the end of your insurance date give these guys a call I had a right result and got quoted happy lol. WF, BUDGET BOOMERS
· Awesome service, answered the phone immediately and quoted cheaper than XX, who every other year no one could touch. Will deffinitely be going with Prestige. B, WILLIAMSCLIO

Has anybody from SES enquired or received a quote from Prestige ?
If so could you post some feedback here.

I would like to see both sides of the coin posted here, rather then it being used as a platform for 'generic' statements lifted from the Prestige website.

Thanks......

Right got all the info here :
Want a copy of both parts of licence
Club Discount , fully comp and modifications declared £529.25 per year
Deposit of £83.24
Per Month £51.78
Comprehensive Excess £350
What's included in the excess window cover, audio cover and courtesy car

Don't know if that's good as I pay less than that with AA at the moment .

Hi,

After a long phone call constantly having to reiterate the car had NO mods and repeating myself over 2 call backs with details already given, the final call back was made to inform me I needed more experience !!!!

41 years old
2007 - 2003 JDM STI
2009 - 2006 WRX PPP
2012 - little break with a 2005 Ford focus 2.0 TDCI
2014 - WRX STI (present car)

Clearly having been driving for 20 years I need more experience in performance cars.

What a waste of my time on the phone!!!!!

Rant over, going for a drive to get some experience 👍

I think you'll struggle to beat Gary@KM to be honest

The good thing being is he is also an active member around SES and SS, so he knows many of us and the cars.

I won't stand a chance by the sounds of it; only had my licence for 15 years and had performance cars for about six of them.

I agree with Ron on this one. You can't beat a chap who knows who you are when you call and chats about your cars.

Just looked at their small print, you have to have 100 years performance car experience and both parents have to act as a guarantor !!!!!

Think you'll find quite a few insurance companies are funny if you've not owned a performance car within a year prior to your new one. I had it when I got mine, what I had before had no relevance as it was more than a year ago(at the time). KM wouldn't touch me without a years ownership first, as wouldn't many others.

On the flip side though, when my wife got her Impreza, Gary knew she hadn't owned a performance car, but he knew she had been insured on my FSTi, so was able to sort a good deal.

I'm not bashing these guys, just saying how good KM is. It would have helped Prestige to have a SES case study to show their offering as their competitor has loads!

Yeah swings and roundabouts I guess. Very much depends on the individual too. I'm with KM now and I've no reason to change....unless I don't get a decent renewal price next month *cough cough* haha.

Scotty, whats your situation with the below if you don't mind me asking :

1. Full No claim's bonus entitlement ?
2. Previous accidents ?
3. Points ?

If you have 1 and not 2 or 3 then the quote seems pretty high.
That would put you similar to me (although Scotland may/should be cheaper I would of thought).
I'm paying 30% less then that with less excess, all mods declared and the trackday flexibility provided by KM.

Well Scott answers to your questions
1. 12 years NCB
2. Nil accidents
3. Nil points

Still think its a bit dear but not any cheaper up here in Scotland .

Hi to all
Thanks for the posts.
Just looking at a few things, we tend to require a year's experience in the last year for the underwriters. I appreciate in some cases there has been experience in the past but the underwriters require this as a prerequisite to getting a quote on our scheme. Sorry.

In terms of length of the phone call, we are happy to offer the customer either to wait or that we ring them back. The reason being is that we refer the quotes to the underwriters who then come back with their price. Sometimes this can take a while but hopefully the fact that people are ringing us before their renewal dates isn't causing too much of an issue.

We've also added extra people to the team just recently to cope with demand.

I always appreciate feedback & so do thank you for your comments.

Kind regards
Tim

Firstly… hopefully this post doesn’t upset any of the admin or moderator team of SES
Secondly… this is intended as feedback for Tim@prestige and I hope it is taken in the manner intended, as a helpful post from a long time member and subaru enthusiast.
Thirdly… this post isn’t intended to promote any insurance provider over another.
Lastly… perhaps other members will contribute with suggestions / feedback so that insurance providers can cater more for the requirements of an enthusiast community.
If any offence is caused, please feel free to amend / delete as necessary…..

Hi Tim,

Nice to see a more ‘non-generic’ post from you, which IMO and i’m sure many others is appreciated more than (no pun intended) the generic style posts that can be seen across multiple car forums!

IMO it would be preferable for enthusiast members of this forum to see real feedback from people we know, maybe people from the forums themselves? Who have had quote experience or taken a policy with yourselves.

Its no doubt easy for there to be feedback from ‘happy customers’ who have had ‘huge’ savings etc etc when you are dealing with so many enquiries per day…..no doubt many of these savings are based on people who have hit the magical number of ticked boxes and who’s quotes would reduce regardless of whom they switched insurance providers to anyway?

I’ve been a Subaru owner for coming up to 19years now! (many of the variants owned) and the only way I can judge the cost of insurance is come renewal time, whereby its either gone up or gone down! no amount of posts suggesting that insurance costs have dropped or risen makes a difference to me, the only time it matters is when my policies are due for renewal.

Most of us are probably now at a plato when it comes to insurance cost for these types of cars and as such savings of £100+/year just isn’t going to happen that often!

Not trying to put you off advertising on the forum (not my place to do so and I don’t know or want to know what has been agreed with regards to advertising within the forums) just trying to put over some feedback…….. it would be better IMO to see an active participation on a more personal level than the generic style that has been adopted so far……… it may also be advisable for you to try and promote a more car specific insurance as many members will require track cover over a Halfords M.O.T. (which most people on a Subaru forum will not benefit from for numerous reasons)

I for one will out of courtesy obtain a quote upon renewal from yourselves and will give honest feedback on the forums for everyone to see, however, my renewal on the first car isn’t until July. I will be amazed if you can beat the service provided by my current broker though (whom I have faith in following his attentive dealings with a non-fault accident a few years back, when the insurance provider was shall we say less than adequate! so its not always about cost)

If you look at other sections of the forums you will see countless posts from people thanking another highly regarded broker for the services provided, without the need for the broker in question to post numerous times ‘information’ regarding the insurance industry and or quotes from happy people we do not know! this obviously works well for both them and many of us, perhaps its a stance you guys could use to your benefit?

Hope this helps as feedback…..

Hi
Thank you for your comments. I would be more than happy for every person to post their feedback on forums. Unfortunately, it just doesn't happen sadly.

We are also more than happy to work alongside other insurance providers because being a non-standard insurer, there are times when we can benefit members whereas other insurance companies can't, so we are here if you want to try us!

The generic posting actually (& maybe surprisingly) works quite effectively in bringing in quotes for us. If there are no postings for a week say, the team notice a considerable downturn in the number of leads which come into the office even though people are aware of us through the threads & banners we have on the forums. I suppose it acts as a reminder to those who are due for renewal & suddenly remember us after we have 'jogged' their memory!

I do appreciate however that some things work for one but not for another.
We have had glowing reports from some & then others where we are uncompetitive but it's all down really to the profile of the customer, e.g. postcode, experience, age, etc.

I'm always looking to work for the good of the scheme & that means that I want to try & help everyone on every forum! At the end of the day, we all want to save money & get a good service in with that.

I do thank you for your constructive comments.

With kind regards
Tim

Thanks Tim for the response, it is good to know that the messages get read amongst the cross forum adverts......

The other side of the arguement regarding the 'selective testimonials' is the fact that reading them suggests that I will be able to save up to 50% on my premium by changing to yourselves! (I use 'up to' in the same context as the 'upto' £54.85 for Halfords M.O.T.! they are only £27.42 when booked online) I look forward to my £150/ year policy come July (sorry Gary you need to work hard this year) I bet I don't save anywhere near those figures....

I guess, that your position is one of advertising and client recruitment via advertisment, mainly from car forums? Its easy to see the generic layout style of adverts dating back to at least 2012 across some of the more Subaru related forums alone..... If you take the time to look, you will see the real results from people obtaining quotes from yourselves is very different to those of the testimonials that you place within the forums..! but then we all know the reality will be that you cannot please everyone and that each and everyone of us will have circumstances specific to us and as such no quote or policy will be the same....

Its not like the advertisment / testimonials are specific to the forum needs? why would I be interested in how much I could save if I brought an Ibiza, Hyundai coupe, Renault Clio (just some mentioned on here already)...... i'm more interested in savings and specific policy for the Subaru mark

Sorry if this comes over as negative towards yourself or prestige, its not meant to be! Its just I have seen endless amounts of the same posts across numerous forums and since starting to look back on here I am begining to see yet more of the same! It comes across more as 'spam' than anything else....(perhaps thats advertising for you?) I hate those poxy meerkats too and as for go-compare!!! aaarrrggghhhhhh (perhaps i'm getting old?)

You would be far better off getting Gary headhunted if your after subaru enthusiasts He handles the forum side of things, attends meets / events, deals with quotes and renewals and everything else......ok, this does sometimes make him hard to get hold of but! given just what he contributes to the whole scene, its very much something 'most' will make allowance for.

Perhaps a poll is in order to see if people like the generic type posts within the main forums or maybe a seperate forum area would be better?

Again,,,, happy for any of my posts to be moderated accordingly if any offence has been taken / caused

I hope your week is going well & enjoying the sun as it starts to show itself!

Last March was our busiest month in 2013 in terms of people ringing us so if your renewal is due this month, please ring us for a quote and see what we can do.

Many thanks.

With kind regards
Tim

Hi
I only receive the number of quotes & sales in my reports. I'm sure there are Subaru's within those figures but I'm not given this information I'm afraid.

The scheme is open for all to try if they wish & hopefully past feedback reflects savings that people can make

Obviously don't want any of my previous posts to come across as any personal attack against Tim@Prestige and based on the relentless posting of testimonials working for them as a company........ thought I spend a few minutes and try and help as well.....

(all genuine replies on various forums)

We got a quote for our UP! and was more expensive than our renewal however was very nice lady on phone and did not seem to care about mods as long as did not make it any faster! VWUP forum…

Hey Up!*
Dont think Ill bother to be honest...called Prestige up & they informed that they have a MINiMUM premium of £300!! VW insurance quoting us at £205.... check them out beforehand ! (I reckon its a Stitch Up!) VWUP forum…

Sorry Tim - gave your lot a second chance but again was told min premium was £300.
Went with VW insurance £228 fully comp with protected no claims, legal cover and only £100 xs
Bargain IMO VWUP forum

Rather blatant advertising as matter of interest they were far dearer than my Aviva premium even though they say they work with Aviva (a fact I very much doudbt)
Like all insurance brokers they say they are the best and cheapest but reality is often different. VWUP forum

hear so many good things
but it was a shame you couldn't beat lv for price WMVX forums

Just got off the phone to you guys and to be honest I was massively disappointed . Last year my premium was £680. Cheapest quote you could offer was £1200. A lot of hype over a very poor price WMVX forums

Ok rang you guys today as my insurance is due start of February. You were £200 more expensive than Flux.
Sorry folks but you lost this one. WMVX forums

had a price this mornimg of a very nice lady but it was massive ,way way more than others i.ve had prices off WMVX forums

Just rang number you supplied for prestige insurance im 36 with full ncd but they wouldnt insure me TYPE RA forums

Just had call from prestige £650 ouch looks like ill be sticking with Keith Michaels TYPE RA forums

Hi Tim
As a freebie and not added to the premium, i dont require a free MOT from Halfords, so can i take my "freebie in the form of a discount off the initial quote you give For example, you quote me £400 i accept / renew then take away my freebie or discount of £54.85 which would leave £345.15 - 14% off comprehensive premiums £48.32 Total owing for the year £296.83

I personally dont use Halfords for any servicing or MOT work.

I do look forward to getting a quote from your company in the future, looks like some great savings to be made off my current premium. im currently paying £452.00 for the year on a standard wr1, Birmingham area, so to save 50% off that premium as per the Hyundia club gentleman or even saving £100 as per some of your testimonials and a further 14% reduction off comprehensive cover would be fantastic, and of course not forgetting my "freebie / discount deduction, I would be looking to pay just over £200 a year then......." win! win! in my book

Thanks

Gary WR1OC

It was £900 more than Greenlight. mini torque forums

Sadly you couldn't quote me based on my modifications. Pity....

Had anyone on MT taken a policy out yet? mini torque forums

Rang you guys for a quote, unfortunately you wanted more than what my renewal was... By like 500 squids! Shame really, great people to talk too and new there stuff. mini torque forums

gave you guys a call, friday gone, unfortunately you couldn't get close to Sky's price Primera forums

sorry to say, but quote i received from you today is competitive - you can compete with tesco or asda insurance....

in the mean time i got renewal quote from my current broker - £160 less than Prestige.... (thats even before negotiations and without shopping around)

bit dissapointed I have to say, but it might just be my luck UKLegacy forums

called again, shame to hear your quote, not sure why but it was 50% more than my renewal one**oh well UKLegacy forums

£400 more for me. Apparently my theft claim, despite having paid for a protected NCD is classed as my fault.

Just a bit unfair TBH. Treat all your prospective customers as criminals - what a great way to do business. Oddly enough, dealing directly with Aviva with no brokers involved was £350 less than Prestige could offer. They even took into account the Cat 1 alarm Prestige didn't even ask about. UKLegacy forums

Disappointed I won't be using you guys... For some reason, apparently due to the "area" I'm in, your quote was TWICE as much as my highest quote... little confused to say the least, wasn't an issue for any other insurers, but, that as side, great friendly service, called me back the next day and everything, so recommend people give em a call, can't fault their service. UKLegacy forums

Yup, pretty much the same as my experience. "Due to your claim your quote comes in at over £800"
Aviva came in at £150 more than last year, including the claim. For a driver with a clean license, in a good insurance post code, and having had exactly one claim in over 30 years of driving - I found the quote extremely disappointing.
I wont even bother contacting at renewal time next year. UKLegacy forums

and this was a post placed by Tim@prestige edited after it was highlighted

Feedback
• 'Well I've got to say I'm extremely pleased with the service....extremely helpful and courteous doing exactly what they said they'd do. And to top it all my premium is less than my renewal and has £150 less excess too! I will recommend you to others and can say to folks on here, give them a try, they've been exceptional with me.'
• 'Prestige definitely treated me right Beat all the competitors quotes and even found out for me about modifications, their value and even buying the car back in event of anything happening.'
• 'Prestige saved me almost £100 from the best quote I've had so far. £550 for living in N10 is great price as I had to pay around £900 last year. I'd like to thank Dave from Prestige who knew what he was talking about with no nonsense questions and he was the only agent I spoke to during my call and he did call me back as promised.'
• 'Quick, efficient, helpful. Take it from me, this is insurance with a human touch! I would encourage anyone who needs a quote to give Prestige a ring, what have you got to lose?'

which you all have to admit was a bit funny….lol

anyway can't beat balanced feedback ..............HTH

This is a subaru forum therefore insurance related advertising's should be subaru related.
