Default Trip To Brighton

Hi, I have my family visiting for a few days and we would like to go to Brighton for a 'day at the seaside' on Tuesday 26th.

Are there any locals who can give us some pointers about activities, things to do, parking etc? Age range 11 to 70!! (3 kids, 4 adults and 1 OAP)

TIA

Brighton pier is always a winner it has a range of rides /amusements
A bar and there are loads of choices for food and lots of it is inside if the weather turns poor !
You should be able to park on Madeira drive just along from the pier itself and from there you can also walk to the main shopping town
Hope you have a nice day

Thanks for the info

We're off to Hever castle today so I'll have a look at the map for Brighton when we get back this afternoon...

Walk round both The Lanes and North Laines (basically either side of North Street) - more interesting than the mall which just has the same old high street stuff as everywhere else.

The wheel is on the sea front by the pier, the sea life centre is there too. Brighton Pavillion if you fancy that kind of thing, lived 15 mins from brighton my whole life and never been in it but told its very impressive.

Or plenty of places to just eat and drink if you want to be lazy

Wouldn't bother with the marina. Drove in and straight out again last time I was over that way.
Eastbourne marina is alot better and would be a good diversion home to grab a bight to eat and dream you could afford a nice motor cruiser.

I agree that there's more to Eastbourne Marina than Brighton - the only thing the Brighton one has is the cimema/casino and the boardwalk restaurants (which are all overly busy on a nice evening anyway!)
