Very sad indeed! Especially so early in the race, apparently the barrier was right in front of a tree with no space or some form of padding between it.

Very sad to lose a driver during the race. Another driver also lost their life this weekend during the VLN at the Nurburgring

Very Sad re-driver death and unusual for Le-mans. But was a great event as ever, with great racing and nice to see Toyota on the tails of Audi this year. Even closer racing with the LMP1's next year when Toyota fine tune some things, and Porsche are entering a LMP1 one car so a 3 team race next year.
Great event for any petrol head, and almost has a festival atmosphere with plenty to do and see outside of just the racing. Nice to see all the garage queen cars come out and stretch there legs, and see all sorts of classics and exotica on the way down who are only too pleased to have a chat with fellow petrol heads. |

Was a fantastic race and an incredible atmosphere at the track, but obviously overshadowed by the death. Didn't think anything of it when it happened as the radio almost immediately said that the driver was talking with the marshall's. Couldn't believe it when they announced the death a few hours later.
