Default Rush (Film)

Don't know if any of you have read anything about this, but its a forthcoming film chronicling the battle between James Hunt and Niki Lauda for the 1976 F1 title. First trailer just came out...

...they reckon the film is going to stick pretty closely to the facts: hoping its going to be worth a look!

Looking forward to it. I started going to GPs in the early 1970s, so saw these two going for it at first hand.

I was there at the time and in those days you could just walk into the pits and chat to the teams and drives. I was lucky enough to be driven round Brands , several months later by James Hunt in a Lola on a Ford Motorsport Day. James could only drive flat to the floor. I think I left a little damp patch on the seat. Oh found memories. And yes he did like a drink even a girl or two. Party all night and race the next day. Those were the days before Bernie took control.

Got the dvd last week.
Great film but surprised at the amount brands hatch was used for filming. But even more surprised that the brands hatch round with the crowd objections to hunt not initially being in the restart and the following appeal was not included.
That's quite a major factor in the 1976 season to leave out.

It has a few historical inaccuracies, but I still really enjoyed it. Some superb shots of the cars in action and well implemented CG.

I thought it was a well shot picture.

The inaccuracies were odd, but by no means ruinous.

Daniel Bruhl's portrayal of Lauda is astonishingly good.

Well worth a watch. I even splashed out on the BluRay rather than DVD. Ooh, get me!
