Default My 2005 sti

Thought I'd post the progress I have made since I bought my car in March 2008 with 22k on the clock...
Bought with the PPP, A vortex catted exhaust, K&N intake and a supposed remap as this

I then changed the wheels to prodrive pff7's off ebay and added prodrive springs again off ebay and a front spoiler to this

Then the modding bug took over and I whisked it off to James Greenwood for a new aps sr40 turbo, decatted 3'' milltek, ported headers, anti lift kit, remap, front and rear arbs 22/24mm, rear strut brace

then produced

then a home brew fire ext fitted

few bits from the lovely Roger Clark shop

Japbash 2009

Performance friction brakes fitted prior to ring trip 2010

a few bits and pieces added end of 2009...carbon alternator cover and cool slam panel for rad

pro sport gauges fitted around this time as well

The car has stayed looking the same but this March I added gt headers, 650 inj's and new fuel pump...with a road remap with JGM is now 405bhp and 380lb torque

and most recently Granby's old aps 725 fmic and intake fitted as seen on another thread

awaiting the remap in a couple of weeks and got to trim the bumper a tad as well so hoping for arounf 410-415 hp...happy for now if it gets this...
although have been in contact with engine tuner in plymouth recently so watch this space next year!

Other plans for next years ring trip will be tein or bc coilovers (where does it ever end!?)

Such a nice car tim, I've had the pleasure of being either in front of it or behind it over quite a few miles now on various trips, and as I said to you at Goodwood, it is one of the nicest Blob STi's i've seen. Some really nice mods too, and I completely blame you when I talk to my wife about spending more on my car!! Lets hope you never get to meet her

Looking Good Tim, did you put the pulley's on yourself ?

Thinking of getting some for mine and can't decide whether to do it myself or get them done in conjunction with a cam belt.

I can only do the basics Scott so got a friend to do them as part of a Cambelt service.

Those GT headers are lush!! Bloody nice car. Starting my engine mods next year. Letting the wallet cool down first.

If your going to Engine Tuner, ask em' about the Turbo Technics S206 (500BHP) and S215 (550BHP).
http://bbs.scoobynet.com/770002-late...-turbo-11.html

The 206 gets quite good reviews, but requires a bespoke downpipe (additional £185)

They are also bringing out a smaller version (400BHP) with stock fitting

I don't think it's twin scroll as it doesn't require any up-pipe mods, but it is supposed to spool well and be very responsive.

Tell me about the Prodrives, I got mine from Revolution when they had all the old stock going 'cheap' trashed the face of one getting the car on the trailer so am on the hunt for a good second hand one in Bright Flitter as I can't find anybody to refurbish the one and match the paint!

Mate how did that happen??

There must be a firm that can refurb the rim for you.

Try: http://www.lepsons.com/

Personally I wouldnt recommend spit & polish of Tonbridge.

I have got a spare rim with rubber but obviously its the WR1 pewter your can borrow.

forgot to add photo of intake in wing behind cover...massive filter!

I have removed part of the opening to the fog cover to allow a bit more air in but hopefully no water will get in.

Srr tomorrow!

My internets been down last 12 hours so a delay in posting up yesterday rr result.
404.4 which I was a little disappointed by but Simon thinks that the figures on the road a few months back possibly weren't as good back then as now.
Either way when it comes on boost now it goes better which is what I wanted. At least i can give it some beans now!
Limiting factor is my turbo....now thinking of maybe MD321T or just leave it and wait for the s206 and 2.1 next year.
I'll post a graph up when i get a chance.

There were some nice classics there as well...one guy from leicester in a track prepped RA hit 415/415 with a KKK turbo off a 911! Brilliant.

Be interesting to see what mine makes when it's finally finished - but will still be on pinks for now as well as the SR40 - I think I may get to 400 ish but with more torque and faster spool.

Main thing is how the car feels, and if it feels better/quicker, then job done. It certainly seemed quick enough as it was! Out of interest, what was the torque figure tim?.
