I have just looked at the Eurotunnel fares ,

And they are increasing slightly so the earlier you book the cheaper the fares.

An alternative to BTG taxi laps if you want... it won't be with Dale but I believe they use VLN driver(s)... better cars than the Jags too

The jags are a serious bit of kit...

Far from a standard..

Think I would take the Jag over the Bmw’s. That McLaren is a serious bit of kit mind. Trying to find Sabine & her Porker as that would be a no brainier

I went round with Dale in the jag last year. BTG time was about 7mins 40 secs. What an experience! Would highly recommend it.

Usual oil, coolant, brake fluid, check everything’s tight on suspension, and then clean clean and a bit more cleaning..

Also got to get wheel bearing swapped out - all the other mods are sitting in my office but won’t be done ready for the ring.

Been an expensive month for me... took my WRX up to Scoobyworld for a Cambelt change and a performance pack ( Down pipe replacement and EcuTek remap)ended up having to put a turbo on it, due to oil leaking down the exhaust...

Dropped the RS5 into a gearbox specialist yesterday. It’s got a gear selector position fault. So gearbox out, new filters, circuit board and clutch. Ouch.

SNAP I may have to start it up just to make sure it’s got some charge in the battery.

I have some very nice Cup 2 semislick road leagle track tyres if anyone is interested? 235/35/19 x 4. Stick like 888’s without the noise.

Yes, gonna take it to the ring. The plan was to sell it and pick up a nice blob, but it developed the gearbox fault, so will probably sell it when we get back.

I really don't want to give up on going, but I think I have to really because I need some new tyres as well now. After I changed my brakes I noticed that they are slightly worn on the inside and not in the best shape. I'm so gutted after saving and buying so much in time for the trip.

Last chance to join us on this trip.

Everyone on the list has now paid their deposits for the hotel booking.

I will give the last room back to the hotel on 6/4/19 if no one else comes forward.

Also the cost,

Full EU/world cover all year round for you in any car, repatriation of car, they will even send a driver to drive your car and family/better half home in the event you have a medical issue and cannot travel. all for around £95 a year for you and your better half to be covered.

This sort of cover simply isn't available in the UK from any of the major players, which is kind of depressing!

Have you all filled in the API?

I've had several reminders from Eurotunnel to do mine but I've done it twice now.
Nige has had the same problem too,
Had to call them direct in the end to get confirmation..

Heads up, as Thursday is a public holiday over here it means the Friday will be busy on the roads and pretty much anywhere touristy - folks like to take Friday off as a bridge day to get an extended weekend

See you there.....

Just got in the door myself, was a great gathering and nice to see everyone again and to meet some new people. And of course a big thanks again to Big"E" for perfect organisation.

Roll on the 2020 trip.

Any photos and video that I managed to capture will follow later.

Myself and Cheryl would like to thank everyone for another wonderful trip to Germany.
I know Cheryl and Lisa are very happy they have driven on the nurburgring, and they did the lap in 12 minutes, I was bricking it the night before 😕 as I know Cheryl has a heavy right foot.....

So many wonderful memories.

Loved everyones company, new and old faces.

Hope everyone got home OK.... DSC_0040.jpgDSC_0087.jpgDSC_0083.jpgDSC_0079.jpgDSC_0043.jpgDSC_0080.jpgDSC_0011.jpgDSC_0045.jpg
