Default Recommend me an Xbox Wheel

Looking at getting the boys an Xbox wheel for christmas. have spent plenty on them already so not too expensive please.....

Must have leg mounts/strap as have know where to mount it, wireless and force feedback.

Spotted one in Game for £104 which is £79.99 in Argos but have read this has no force feedback, whereas the slightly cheaper official xbox one has force feedback but apparently the leg mounts are not great.

Prices seem to start at £30 through to £100's. Really want to keep between the £30-£80 mark if possible.

Any help appreciated.

The Official one is awesome but as you say the mounts are a pain in the back side, and even resting it on your lap isn't good enough as you fight it in the bends.

Maybe you could retrofit something for it.

The bad news is that microsoft have deleted the OEM wheel, they never recovered the monies lost when version 1 was recalled ( The one with the Project Gotham Demo ). They put a load of research into Kinect, with a patch comming for Forza 3 at some point.

I've got the official Microsoft one, and it really is a superb bit of kit. Never been a fan of wheels in the past, but the force feedback wheel is just awsome. Its as close to the real thing you are ever going to get... Transforms any car racing game and forza 3 is a hoot.

Just don't make the mistake I did. I Originally had it set up without using the power transformer which works and I thought was good, but then plugged in the power pack to the mains and the it comes to life.! The steering is really well weighted depending on what speed you go, feedback on rumble strips and crashes etc.

I have a coffee table which I take the draw out of too bolt it on and although it sits a little low, it works very well sitting on the sofa with peddles under the coffee table.

Sadly no velco straps though but not sure it would work if you did, as you really have to tussle with the wheel.

Which reminds me I must get it out again and get myself on Forza 3 again
