Default Messers do my head in !

As some of you may have seen on my previous thread I was due to collect a S202 this weekend, well the seller who did the deal over the phone last week after i had viewed the car, and has avoided me for days now tells me he is deciding to keep the car?

There was an issue on the alarm which he was going to sort out and then I was going down to pay and collect, then he springs that it has got a puncture and the alarm is going to cost more than he thought so has backed out of the deal, tosser.

Now for me a deal is a deal, it seem's not for this chap I can't believe it what a piss about!

Do you know what, i even said ok i will give you the agreed amount and take the car as it is with the flat tyre and faulty alarm and come and get it today.

And he says some story that he has already sent the alarm fobs off so can't blah, blah, blah.

What a waste of my time....

That's a s***ter mate. I once I travelled 150 miles to look at a car. Got there... 'Sorry mate I sold it, did I not tell you?' Thanks you prick. Probably for the best though as it was a Clio Williams lol.

If the guy is like that you sounds like you missed out buying a potential problem car on the upside.

I've had the same, arranged to view a 2.5 V6 Galant in Bracknell - everything confirmed with garage down to the exact time i was turning up.

Arrived to find the bloke had sold it earlier that day! They had my mobile number so could have called if they had been arsed!

No idea I did not ask? It is either a mistake by the seller, maybe it is 120 for 6 months or the dvl a have cocked up on the rate, I suspect the first option.
Either way not a deal breaker.

Thinking of a Hawk myself next year. Would you recommend the JDM 2.0 over a 2.5 ?

What BHP can you get out of a JDM TwinScroll ??

Saw 350bhp and 370lb from one just last month iirc decat downpipe and panel filter no other mods just a map.

2 or 2.5 depends on you driving style, lazy and like torque then 2.5, like to rev it and not bothered about having to drop it a cog from time to time then 2litre

yep

standard pump is fine.

it is worth changing if the pump has done some miles but otherwise no need on hawkeye and hatchback.

Cheers Simon, we spoke about mapping a classic I had for a while the other month, and you called me back about the S202 and then it blew out, I will give you a call when I get this one.

no problem.

if it has done low miles then no need to change pump.. the walbros are cheap and easy to change to no great issue doing so but never seen an issue with hawk standard pump

The 2.5's blow the head gaskets or spit a piston though if you drive them like I do.....

Trackday terrorist that I am.
