righty, all kinda good!! the battery is flat as you like this morning, 1 volt!!!
spent all day yesterday giving it a good clean, so its nice and shiney now!!
the leaky rocker head needs to be done soon, i get crazy looks with the smoke coming out the vent on the bonnet!! it runs ok, laggier than i remember, but not a disaster, mioght change to a smaller turbo. the 'hybrid' turbo turned out to be a standard td05!!
sorted a few niggles, now just got a few more bits to do and we are away!!!
When i get it started, i can move it so can get pics!!! shame its not sunny to show off the nice black paint with the red flake!

I found my old my old early WRX's horribly laggy, and always felt like even a standard UK with a TD04 was quicker. The TD05 turbo on a stock early WRX didn't get into full swing until about 4K so probably normal.

But also look out for a leaking/blowing up pipe. They are prone to rusting at the flexi point and leaking which causes considerably worse lag. Bit of a job to replace as well ,turbo off job.

Had black fleck WRX once and looked nice.

i will get pics up as soon as i sort the alarm out, i dont really want to advertise the fact its not alarmed, well it is, but slight siren problem...................

I took the siren apart as i found the fuse for it blown, and it still didnt work once changed, i knew as soon as i started it was wet, the screws were rusty, i didnt realise it was gonna be that bad though!!!

very nice mate. Looks life a beefy old front mount on there so if not already done it has plenty of potential with an ESL daughter board, larger injectors and a map.

If your not already sorted post up in the wanted section. I'm sure someone must have a alarm unit kicking about in there parts bin.
