Default Looking forward to our test drive on Friday
Friday will be the first time we have test driven a new car since we bought the Leggy.

In the spirit of the co-operation between Subaru and Toyota we thought we would try out one of their (Toyota's) products, seen at last year's Japbash. We have seen it in the showroom, and are quite serious about it now.

Wonder what Toyota that would be then?

Just remember they either don't stop(Prius) or accelerate of their own accord(all models with the electronic throttle)
I swapped my 08 plate TTE equiped Aygo for the R2 and am very glad I did.
Or are you going for an IQ???????????? (sorry Sally in advance)

i don't remember seeing a Toyota at Japbash last year, apart from an MR2 - but i wouldn't expect to see one of those at the dealership as they're too old now?

Its not a Lexus is it?

You must think we've gone mad!

But...... Julia's office in Brighton is moving right next door to the railway station, and there will be no office parking. That means she will be commuting by train rather than by Legacy as she does at the moment. We live two miles from the station at this end, so a three litre Legacy (although perfect for the commute at the moment) becomes less suitable for the trip to and fro twice each day.

So we are gonna test drive the wee thing and see what we think. I guess it will either be horrible....or surprisingly good. Investigating the 16" alloy option for starters.

Alternative suggestions welcomed. (They have stopped making the R2 it seems.)

I love driving Sally's IQ.

It's reminds me of the classic mini, in its control (wheels in the corners)

Sally's is the 1.0L Manual with around 65bhp. The Manual IQ's didnt suffer with the pedal problems.

5 star safety rating and 9 airbags.

Will look forward to see what you think of it.

We can knock up a wagon extension kit for it, Chocks is a dab hand with balsa wood and a pen knife.
