Unhappy Icy roads

As the snow looked like it was starting to melt, i decided to take the Merc home monday morning.

On my 2 mile drive, i managed to get stuck on ice 5 times

Trying to get up the kerb at home was the worst part. blipped the throttle to get it up the kerb, but slid on ice.

Ended up blocking the road for about 5 minutes, nut on the plus side.... for that 5 minutes, i was holding up a load of school mums

I swear the bulb in the traction warning light is going to blow soon. It's been flashing away almost constantly

Sure is, there must still be at least 6 inches of snow here in Chelwood Gate, doesn't seem to be showing any signs of melting yet either.

Took the P1 out yesterday and came to a hill whereby 5 cars were stuck.

Everyone was finding it impossible so I showed them the simple way to drive the 300 Mts up hill on snow & ice.

Select 1st easing away very carefully. Into 2nd, then 3rd.

Selected 4th and floor it. With engine at 8000 rpm finally switch on Anti Lag then throw it into 5th then immediately into 6th keeping it at 8000 rpm.

Snow & ice now instantly melting under tyres and generating huge plumes of smoke from the burning rubber.
Open drivers window to release smoke from inside of car.

Wait for smoke to clear & whilst hanging head out of window looking back 300 Mts at stranded cars give them the thumbs up before driving away slowly.
