Default Air Con Re-Gas Offer

Chaps

I know there was a Groupon deal for this a little while ago but Kwik Fit are offering 20% off at the moment and if it doesn't drop the temperature by 10 DegC they don't charge.

Just book online and enter AIROFFER20 in the offer code box to get a re gas for £39.20. Getting the Passat done at lunch time as although it works it's not as cold as it should be.

I realised it was cheaper, Brighton's just not practical for me though and probably plenty of other people. None of the Groupon offers have been local to me, I have 3 Kwik fits within a 15 minute drive at work.

Surely theyre gonna be giving a few free ones out then ? Doesnt aircon either work or not ? Ie mine was 30 percent down on gas and refilled ,,, cant say it was any colder after the refill as it worked well but its full

So do they say ten degrees colder then with the aircon on originally or is it ten degrees cooler then if you werent using the aircon ? If the latter then its just a gimmick as innthis heat that should easy be achievable ,,, if the former i think theyve made an error and will be doing lots without charging

Aircon should only drop by 7 - 10 degree's.
If it drops any lower then that, below the ambient temperature, there is a chance you will faint when you get out of the car.

They say 10 degrees across the coil, so the air coming out should be 10 degrees colder than the air being drawn in. If it doesn't do that then something's not working. So you get the re-gas free, but they'll try and get you to let them repair it. Just a way of drawing in the custom.

Well either way £39 is cheap for a re-gas, only mentioned it in case anyome wanted to save a few quid, no worries, won't bother in future.

It was done in 45 mins, it's a lot colder now than it was, they didn't try and sell me anything else and 2 people weren't charged anything due to one having a leak and one having a broken pump, both were advised to contact an air con specialist as they don't do repairs.

I know what Kwik Fit are like and I wouldn't trust them to do anything else on any of my cars

It is cheap and well worth shouting any bargains regardless ,, ive had a few cars done in kwikfit especially when they do their little offers ,,, its rare to get aircon deals when the weather is like this as well

How the hell did they manage that, mine was pulled into an empty bay and a couple of pipes were connected under the bonnet, the rest was automated.
