Default Coilovers

Just doing a bit of searching and came across tein street flex for the classic would that be a better move than putting another set of BC's on .

I'd go with the Tein's over BCs personally.

I've got the tein super streets, they're an older version. Street Flex is a current model. Ginola's got the next model up compared to mine...

That's what I'm thinking Steve as the teins look better and build is better quality rather do it once and street flex is all you can get for a classic apart from there lowering springs .

Whatever you go for it's unlikely to be 'do it once' as they all need rebuilding sooner or later as far as I can tell from others' experiences.

Tein seem a better bet than BCs for longevity from what I've seen.

Hard not to listen to Alyn on this though!

Ordered my Eibachs of Alyn last week - from what I know the height is adjustable but the dampening is fixed - although Eibach do good testing and it meant to be the best of both worlds - soft enough for normal, but stiff enough when pushing the car

Once mine are on, ill let you know! ha ha

I have Tein type flex (not the street ones) fully adjustable for bump/rebound/height etc they work great on the track, they are a little stiff but you would expect that! Think I paid £1600 odd for them.

Still compliant enough to use on the road. (you know what they are like on track from the passenger seat )

They are still going strong after nearly 4 years and 35k + miles I'm sure they will need a rebuild at some point though, they have already outlasted a set of standard shocks and springs!

Yes Dave do like your set up and can't complain about them apart from they don't do them for a classic which is a shame .

Surely you're not thinking of putting coilovers on the 1?

E has been scared by a dealers mechanic who spotted some wear on his arch liner. Unfortunately said dealer wasn't aware that he has been driving around the karrosell with 235 Toyo's fitted.

I have holes in my arch linners from that and similar activity had a spare one I the shed for more than a year mind!

Scotty you can get them for a classic, at least you could I know a type UK with some fitted, I'll see if I can find you a link, I would support Ayln's point about eibach aswell, in my opinion messing around with it between track and road is not needed if it's set upcorrectly it will just work on and off the track so if they come pre setup and it's good you won't need to mess around getting them dialed in

Well been doing a lot of research and its looking like I will be buying a set of Tein Flex A or Z which are compatible with EDFC which Dave(Ginola) has on his widetrack I think , they also have 16 damping force adjustments .
