Do I have to remove the turbo to fit an up pipe? Or can I drop the manifold?

Mine was a case of turbo off rather than removing headers. I've seen it done both ways, but I guess its easier to do via turbo removal as thats how Jaffa did mine years ago.
Bolts on the turbo heatshield can be a pain though, mine needed cutting out. Think you're thinking about the downpipe mate. |

I did my up pipe without removing the turbo, just dropped off one side of the headers where the collector is, hardest bit was getting the front lambda sensor off
