Blue smoke is oil, often oil seals on the turbo can cause this.

White smoke is more of a sign of head gasket failure.

If it's only on start up from cold it could also be a sign of oil seeping into the bores, not sure if this is common on the Subaru lump or not. The old Ford CVH lumps were notorious for it as the the valve stem oil seals hardened and oil ran from the rocker box, down the valves and settled in the engine, worst case is it could be oil running past the piston rings when it has been sat for a while.

Is it using any oil?

Could just be a hose off or split.
Check the connections under the intercooler (if it still has top mount) or to/from if FMIC.
