Exclamation Stereo replacement

Hi guys,

Have been given a double DIN stereo for free and will be fitting this to my 2002 model WRX, would you guys be able to point me in the right direction for the correct ISO wiring lead and double DIN cage I'm going to need.

I've seen these on ebay, could you be able to confirm whether these are correct for my car. The ISO lead, a lot of the say from 93-2005 but also state except WRX. What is the difference in the wiring for the WRX model?

ISO Lead

OR

Cage

Thanks in advance.

Martin

Not sure if a bug is the same as a blob but if so you dont need a cage you use the brackets that are screwed on the oem stereo if you have it ?

This is the iso lead i used for my blob from halfords http://www.halfords.com/sat-nav-audi...ector-pc2-44-4

Cheers also is the stock Subaru radio connector a double pin? As the radio input on the new unit is a single pin input.

Single pin or plug do you mean ? If your new radio is like most it will have a make specific plug that goes from the radio to iso connector ? Therefore the halfords iso connector mates it up to the car

What make is your new radio ? Any pics of the wiring you have ?

I mean is the stock radio a single pin as the new head unit which is a Eonon D2208 appears to be a single pin no I don't have any pics I am afraid.

Hi guys,

Have just got round to fitting the stereo and have come across a problem.

Fitted the stereo and all works ok, but when I come to put the facia surround back on the head unit is too big for the surround, not by much but it will not go on. Is there a facia that I can buy that allows a slightly bigger stereo to be fitted? The stereo must be about 3mm too big, I dont fancy cutting the original facia to fit this stereo in, just wondering if there is the same facia that allows the stereo to fit in properly.

Many thanks,

Martin

Most double din stereos are the same size ,, some do have a clip on trim though ,, is it possible yours still has the extra clip on finishing piece still fitted ? Just a guess

Thanks for the reply no I have already removed the extra clip on bit but it is still about 3mm too big for the facia to go over it
