Default Clutch

right my clutch has been slipping for a while now, and I'm thinking of giving it a go myself, now I've done many clutches myself the worst being on my old van a peugeot expert. I don't have access to ramps so do it all on axel stands.
I don't really have the spare funds to get it done at the garage at the moment so what I'm wondering is how many of you have done this job yourself and how much of a pita is it. Any pointers or advice would be greatly appreciated as I can't be without the car for more than 2 days. Thanks in advance

Oh god that don't sound easy lol, I don't even own an engine crane. Does the gearbox come out easy? Obviously I'd have to take prop shaft ect out but will probably be easier for me to do it that way as never taken an engine out of a car before lol. I've allways done work on my cars/vans myself but the scooby is a whole different ball game lol. Thanks midlife

he knows what he is doing and charges a reasonable price. He has done 2 gearbox swaps for me in the past.
It is a job you can do yourself (I have done it) but it's a bit of an **** on axle stands - but easy if you have access to hydraulic ramps like Tone has in his garage !

Also, while you are getting the clutch replaced, get yourself a new flywheel spigot bearing as they are hardly every changed and chances are yours is the original and in need of being replaced. think mine cost under £10 at the time
