Default Swapping seat covers

Bit of an odd one....

I have bought some black Spec C seats for my Newage STI, but one of them appears to be damaged.

It doesn't sit right, leans towards the passenger side and feels like the back left is too low (or back right too high).
The bottom frame seems to be twisted, and the height adjustment bar seems bent, with a slight kink.

As i don't know exactly what's bent i've bought a normal blue STI seat and was going to get the covers swapped over.

It is possible to do this, or is the cover bonded to the foam too well?

Hey gary, where did you get the seats from? if its all twisted I would look at sending them back(has the car they came from had side impact?), never stripped seats before so cant help you with that!.....and no cant have your old seats back!!!! lol

I reckon it's had a side impact and bent them

The guy who sold them is being helpful, but if i send them back i'll struggle to find another set (Jap Peformance want £675 without the door cards!)

I've been told it's an easy job.... so fingers crossed.

It's made me realise how mint my old ones were, lol.

It sounds like they have seen an accident, I would worry though that after you have bent them back is the structral integrity still there? as if (heaven forbid!) you have an accident will they still peform??

A popular auction site has some for sale! but with no door cards though it does say the car they came from has only done 500 miles, could be worth a look?

And yes your old seats are mint and looking awesome in my type r.........thats a point I got some old v5 sti seats you have!!! lol

I've managed to get a straight STI seat that needs a re-trim, so hope to get the black Spec C cover on the better frame.

Fingers crossed.....
