Morning guys

Not to be a killjoy but we may have to cap the list of those attending now - more than 40 becomes a problem with parking I'm afraid!

Cannot wait to see all the Scoobies! Should be a huge meet!

For those joining the Patcham group at Beddingham, can you wait in the following lay-by for 9:55am (its about 1 mile East of the Beddingham roundabout) - just join the group as we come past at 10am.

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=Bedd...ngdom&t=h&z=18

There's a couple of bus stops closer to the roundabout but they're not big enough for the main group to stop if we get there early or have to wait for anyone. We should then be at the Polegate rendez-vous at 10:10am

I'm only on the dyno to check how the figures compare to RCM's new one.

It has a reputation for being conservative so it will be a good way of telling as my car was only on the dyno last weekend.

It certainly feels more than the 516 bhp indicated at RCM, but we will see

May come out less at Sumo ? .......

I believe the cooling fan is speed related, to make it realistic as if your on a road.

the faster you go the faster the fan goes, it cost a fortune apparently and its huge.

If I am wrong I've no doubt someone will put me right.

Your correct,

I had mine on there a couple of years ok just after it was fitted. It's also a single roller one (Car wheels sit on one big roller instead of two smaller ones) which is supposed to be more like a road surface.

Is it still ok for me to come to this?

Noticed that Sumo are saying the list should have been capped at about 40 cars due to space and the list is currently running at 46 attending...would like to meet some of the SES members and see the JRM GT1 cars up close

I noticed the single rollers last time I was there Tel. Looked a great piece of kit.

Better on tyres too. SleeperSy done a front set of tyres on the dyno once plus £ 800's of VP Import fuel !

By sitting on the rollers the car is strapped from front to back and side to side,

Therefore additional loading is not put on the suspension

So its as road like as possible.

The cooling fan is huge. On full it will pin you against the bonnet. So no problem with cooling. The dyno itself i think is a bit of an unknown as I believe it to be the only one in the country. Getting a back to back with SRR & RCM will be fantastic. My car has been on & off this dyno more times than a cheap whore. To other's that use it for mapping like Paul Egerton & Dave Rowe think it's a tad conservative! We will find out I hope. :EVO:

Very good point Keith!

It might be a squeeze, can everyone make sure they park nice and close to the car in front whilst waiting.

Same applies to the BP at Patcham, might need some of the cars to line up on the side of the road outside the petrol station like we have done for Goodwood meets.

If you slow a little, we can tag on to the end or within gaps as you pass

Whoevers at the front, don't forget to take the turning on the right after TK Max in StLeonards...... it'll take us to the end of the road Scott will be waiting on......... (do a left at the end, when you get to the seafront)

Yes, as long as everyone is ready to go and not standing around nattering like we normally do

Problem might be if we get there early, or we're missing a couple of people at Polegate and need to stop to wait for them to turn up.

Theres roundabouts at each end of the dual carriageway

It is a fairly big layby and pretty sure we can fill it parking side by side, if needed

Just a reminder that this meet will be the last chance to collect this year's SES calendar. I've got a few spare so if anyone attending the meet wants one, come and find me!

Really good meet today,

Well done Scott and thanks to JRM.

It was good to see and meet some new peeps and have a catch with some old ones.

It was also good to see the scoobs on the rollers and the results achieved.

Great day guys and good to meet up with many of you,

RCM dyno 516 bhp
Sumo 518 bhp

Checked out the correct formula and you divide the wheel bhp x 0.8 for turbo charged, 4x4's.
This would indicate both dyno's to be slightly out as the formula suggested 525 bhp.

To be honest I don't give a 5hit ............. but I did when I saw the front of my P1 start sliding off the rollers

So your 1064 bhp calculation was wrong then?

Figures were pretty close to Surrey

BHP - 365.5 vs 349.9
Torque - 335.6 vs 340.1

Interesting differences were the JRM graphs show greater smoothing and the boost plot shows 1 bar @ 3850rpm, 1.5 @ 4600rpm and Surrey is 1bar @ 3200 1.5 @ 3500 Lamda/AFR is hard to compare as Surrey shows AFR whereas Sumo is Lamda however it looks similar - my AFR is around 11.2 at Surrey JRM showed the Lamda as around 0.7 (looking from 4 to 7k rpm).

Main comment I would have (and I have no data to back it up) was the car appeared to have been running much cooler at JRM there was no hint of it being really hot when coming off the rollers maybe I should have set up a data log however as my intake temp sensor still isn't working there wouldn't have been much point.

All in all a very professional setup and I would happily use their rollers again if they were closer!

I'll add the graph later.

Mr Fudge your face was a picture I've never seen you look so nervous. Now it might even change again the EVO made 434 atw. See I told you, the exhaust sucker machine thingy needs to stand on end. Your power to weight more than out does mine though mate. As you say it's nice to have a figure but it's not the be all & end all of things. Good job Dukeboy & Cj didn't turn up with there 600 + + figures. I don't mean that in a bad way guy's it's just nice to come out on top for once. The Scoob, what can I say 350bhp 370ftlb torque Fantastic day. :EVO: RULES THE DAY. I know stop going on but I can't help it Ha! Ha!

Well what can I say....
Thankyou all for coming along and hopefully having a great day.
Thanks also to Sumo/JRM for letting the group wander around the facility and appreciate what a fantastic setup it is. Also for laying on the endless drinks and pizza.
Hopefully Sumo will get some pay back and some of you may use them for goods or services in the future.

Running the rolling road was a nice touch and something I don't think many clubs have had the benefit off. It certainly makes for a nice spectacle and was also good to see that the ATW figures for the 2 high power cars were very close to those recently achieved on other rollers.

The group of cars turning up on Hastings seafront was quite a sight to see, and I really wasn't expecting so many of you to join us for the last leg of the journey. I'm half expecting someone at work to tell me about all the Scoob's in town on Sunday LOL.....

Thanks again to everyone for turning up, and lastly.....what a great way to start 2012

Mean the logs from the ecu for revs for boost , seems that the wrong gear ratio was used .
