Default Google

The largest media centre on the planet.

Work this out.

For my company to appear on page 1 of Google costs me a fortune every 12 months.
I could buy 6,896 (large) jars of Marmite or 4 nice P1's every year for the same money as I spend paying for directories / links / add words / pay per click / zones / key words / search optimization / hosting / extreme tracking and all that bollox.

Tap in "Skullfudge" (one word) and I have the first 10 PAGES and it cost me fook all. ??? Not one penny.

I'm a fairly placid bloke until I'm sitting next to, or taking to Internet sales related minge heads. I'm convinced they come out with more bull5hit than Scoobynet.

It's probably more down to how unique the business name is. A bit like how AA Aardvarks was always first in the telephone directory.

When I was trading as 'PolarPerformance' it was always on the first page, but a search for 'Polar Performance' would be a different matter.

does it not have something to do with what words are on your homepage? My Mrs had that problem with her business to start with..... i think she ended up listing her business on google maps, added a load of random words to her homepage as apparently search engines search for pages not sites.... she also updates her homepage every now and then which helps?

now when she types in her business name it takes up the first ten results and when she puts in her trade and 'kent' its first page everytime.

this is what she told me and to be honest i don't really understand it, i should probably stop calling her a retard!!!
