Knocking from n/s/r on 2005 WRX
Recently noticed a knocking noise coming from the near side rear when going round left corners at slow speed.
Is this likely to be the common newage suspension failure? Or are there other problems this could be? |

Silver surfer found a cure for this if it's just the dreaded knock. Give him a pm buddy.

There's a sticky thread on scoobynet regarding this. It's only temporary fix though....

Yeah, heard about the temp fix, greasing them but im not too keen on temp fixes, if something is wrong would rather sort it. Was mainly wondering if the noise was a sign of the shocks gone or if that would be a different noise?

Not just a temp fix you can put a nipple to it unless its gone to far

Worth bearing in mind it can even just be a loose bolt!. Mine started knocking and I thought "here we go, new shocks", but after taking it in it just needed tightening up, and its been fine since. That was 2 years ago. I used to here it at slow speeds over speed bumps etc...
