Idea is to meet up at Pease pottage services @ 5.45pm for everyone who lives this way and then meet up at Devils Dyke car park at 6.30pm. We then cruise down Madeira Drive in brighton, and come in to the meet using the 2 small tunnels for all those with loud exhausts.

We congregate under the ramp you come into the marina, turn into asda and then turn 1st left under the ramp.

Pease Pottage location link:-

Marina location link:-

So come on people, it will only be a success if you come along and ill photograph your car.

Hi All. Just joined club today with my 96 Carmine Pearl Sport. Will be coming down as well so add me to the list 666subaru buddy. Will be going to P.Pottage and going from there. Whats the crack with family coming down for the ride (3x children), and enjoying the Scoobies and also does the local club "SES" have a Sticker available?

Update - Just bought the Sticker Pack

I have just double checked the time of this meet, I (stupidly) presumed this was the usual lunchtime scenario, we are babysitting our 3 year old Granddaughter that evening, so we will not be able to attend. Gutted

This was something that sprung to mind yesterday. With these numbers it could be interesting, knowing what the security in the car park is like down there. May I make a suggestion as a 'plan B' if we need it, that if we get moved, then the car park at the end of madiera drive (Black rock) is plenty big enough and out of the way, so I dont see a problem there. Its right next to the marina so doesnt mean travelling anywhere.

Is the Asda car park still pay and display (refundable with purchase from the store)? That and the numbers may give them reason to move people on!

An alternative location, just in case, would be a great idea and a good suggestion by Lucky Not having been to Brighton in the evenings for a while, not sure what the parking issues are anymore..

I'm sure Baz will be on the case, as its showing some good figures for attendance

Guess the 'boyracers' are still under the arches in the evenings?

Right guys, just to clear up a few things:-
  1. The pay and display is from 9am to 6pm.
  2. We are well away from the main Asda car park as we will be under the ramp but I have spoke to them and they are never that busy so it will not affect them so no alternative site is needed. (hopefully)
  3. If there are problems which I dont think there should be then Luckys idea is a go.
  4. Essex have not been invited due to numbers, the minute we got to 30 I decided against it, but plans will be discussed to get an even bigger meet with a charity involved and then they will be invited along with hampshire, sorry guys if anyone is on in relation to that comment, but we will be in talks with you guys (SES and other clubs) very soon about our plans.
Thanks for all the suggestions and comments and yes Mjin its still a go

Sorry Steve, no we didn't produce any this year as felt they didn't work last year compared to the cost to produce.

this is a Sussex scoobies meet

I may follow Keith over as we have to pop round to see people in bishopstone, so may make it a round trip......

Shame your not coming Worzel, been a few years since we were all at a Sussex meet! They were the days, your Richard burns run thread brought back the good memories

I hope to pop in to say hello, probably with Subarman but may not stay long due to recent family bereavement!

And sorry, forgot Kent

If weathers good, should make for a great evening for everyone....

Good work setting things up Baz

Note to all SES Members

This meet has been organised by Baz and Kirk from Sussex Scoobies. As such they have liaised with Asda to get permission for adequate parking for the expected large turn out for this meet.

It has been brought to our attention that at the last meet an SES member nearly wiped his car out as he raced away from the meet!!

Can we please all remember that this is a static car meet and racing around at the event and excessive noise is not wanted or expected.

Its probably taken a lot of sweet talking from the organisers of this event to get Asda to allow them to hold it on their property for a second time following the behaviour of the individual leaving the premises inapropriatetly last time!

We as SES certainly do not want any one of our members singled out as being a disruptive element and causing the early demise of what would appear to be a well organised and authorised meet.

Thank you

Sorry for the need to post the above, hopefully everyone will understand the reasoning behind it. We hope everyone that attends is well behaved and more importantly, everyone enjoys themselves.......

Have a great time folks............

Great meet thanks guys, maybe should have read the thread before going as I guess Anti-lag counts as excessive noise?

mine isnt pinto mate. its a st170 zetec with twin 45's. it can be a bit lively.

i would also like to echo what others have already said, a big thanks to Baz and Kirk for sorting this meet out. well done lads. be proud.
