The car is a credit to the time and effort you have lovely put into it. Can't believe that it's five years at that output. I think it must have been four years ago that you very kindly allowed me to drive it. Keep up the good work Clive.
PS Good to see you back in the loop.

48,500 miles running 500+ including 22,000 on 20% meths on original RCM build and the only thing ever to go wrong was a map sensor failure.

At 48,500 I damaged a valve whilst off the clock.
Just over 6000 miles done since a complete engine refresh. It's now a 2.1 and running better than ever. GT35 or Meths would take it over 600 but what I have is plenty for the street and track when driven hard.

I need to get BigE sitting in the passenger seat to show him what a proper Scoob goes like

Hugh is correct that is Tonbridge, and thanks for the nice comments chaps.

That's the bit that people overlook. About 457 bhp per ton at the moment.

Even after all this time I still get in the thing and think Jeez this things quick, which is nice.

Amazing car. I love how you've kept the exterior looking more or less standard, and it's clearly in great condition. It must put the frighteners on some really expensive kit... At that power to weight I'm sure nothing in the Porsche dealership would get a look in!

Thanks guys.

It would see most Porkies off but on track with GT2RS's would struggle on grip unless I was on slicks or similar. Nige's new age was out cornering mine as he was on 888's so I'll be having those for next years trip.

It was my main issue from the start to retain the P1's natural look and it hasn't turned out too bad. Other than the brakes and the black mesh hiding the IC it looks pretty much standard.
Still to this day I don't know how they fitted the huge APS 725R IC, hence losing the spot lights. The light covers are only on the car as I have no lights behind them

Looking good as always

Knowing how you use the car its a credit to yourself and RCM for how well the cars held up

Yours and Farley's are the best P1's out there IMHO

It is also good to see you looking in and posting more on SES lately, you have been missed

Stu ... take a P1 out for a drive. There are some lovely examples that come up for sale and at crazy cheap prices.
I like and have driven several 400+ new age Scoobs but if I were honest they are no where near as raw as a classic. You really do feel a classic through your butt.

Ron......... I am also surprised at how few problems I have had with it. Not so much the engine but the car it self. Cornering on the limits still feels as though something is going to snap somewhere but touch wood it hasn't yet.

A bit difficult for me as I was in the middle of what happened in this club. Steve & Martin are good mates of mine and I also have good memories and good mates in The SES.
I have enough politics at work and Scooby time is my leisure time with friends.

Many of you have already seen this but some of you newer members may not have done.

Select HD and full screen and check out the speedo. Will give you an idea of how it pulls. I had a wining front bearing and also noticed a nail in my tyre before this run so I was a bit hesitant of taking it flat out and backed off.

Thank you

This will give you an idea of how well RCM have done in keeping the P1 looking original with parts like this under the blue bit

Sounds like an offer?! haha, only joking. If I used your car as a base for comparison I'd never get one as seldom few would come close. Got a few bits to sort on mine then I'll look into it further when I'll be in a better position to make a decision on it one way or the other.

LOL Steve.. deal done for a oner

Mayhew ... that was at RAF Marham at The MLR 30 - 130 event.

That run was 2 years ago on 20% Meths. The P1 is faster now just on V Power.

Absolutely stunning car mate, that's some serious acceleration in that video, if it's quicker now then would love to see another video of it.

We intend to carry out some filming this summer. We know the car will go from a standing start to 60 mph and back to a standstill in just under 6 seconds as tests have proved the 60 - 0 at 2.5 secs and the best 0 - 60 has been 3.2 secs but it's really hard hooking up the LC and getting it right.

The surface, LC setting and triple plate hydraulic clutch all have a big part in getting it bang on but we will do it.
I'll film the dash every time until I get it right
