Can't wait. Still got to sort a few things on the scoob but shouldn't be a problem. Work has been mental the last 2-3 months, looking forward to a break! :drive:

Assetto Corsa, is by far the most accurate and a sim rather than a game/arcade game, you really should be using a wheel though rather than a controller.

+1 for this....Dave's setup is immense, and certainly gives a truly realistic simulation that gets you sweating :ok: :drive:

You can even drive around the car park on Assetto and it offers the proper 'bridge to gantry' lap start and finish points.

Scott.T 28-03-2017 09:19 PM

Project Cars is very good in a GT3/VLN spec car. Complete with SES logo at Adeneau.

nikkinokkinoo 04-04-2017 07:43 AM

Assetto ordered.

Is anyone getting the Liber-t tag ?

Hassle-free motorway payment

Dear Mr Mcardle,

Beat the French motorway toll lane queues with a Liber-t tag.

Our exclusive deal with the French motorway operator, Sanef, gives you the chance to buy a Liber-t tag at a special reduced price.

Make the tag part of your essential travel kit:
It's easy - no loose change or tickets
It's quick - no queues, just drive through
It's convenient - payment is taken automatically
You can even apply for free (saving a further €10), so don't miss out!

Red Baron 04-04-2017 08:39 AM

You don't go on any French toll roads so no need, the only bit of tarmac you have to pay to use is the ring itself.

Neil97rs 04-04-2017 01:38 PM

I was just about to ask the exact same question

Scott.T 04-04-2017 02:47 PM

Your only in France for about 20 minutes.
The only thing you need to worry about is alot of 40 tonne trucks, speed cameras and on the way back asylum seekers.

On positive note in the last 8 trips I dont believe anyone has been done for speeding as I normally set the pace so all you have to do is keep up..

On the way back we have barely seen any asylum seekers as its still daylight.

Scott.T 04-04-2017 05:36 PM

Strange but true I have only managed to get in trouble with the long arm of the law (twice) when not following you.
This I struggle to understand!!!!

bigemp 04-04-2017 05:36 PM

Have Paid Jackie in full for both rooms BigEmp & Little emp if you can update list.

Thanks

Dave

Frenchie 04-04-2017 06:51 PM

Maybe its because they can't keep up Scott. Here in France they have a few Subaru's around Paris on the motorway, but for the most part the police use standard Peugeot 205's.

Yes, important thing to remember to be sure you have every single piece of documentation with you, the Germans especially like this: licence, green card insurance (signed), control certificate (MOT, if applicable), grey card (log book), road tax (like the UK, doesn't have to be displayed).

Over here these, except your licence, have to be with the vehicle at all times and copies don't count (as I friend of mine found out when he showed them copy of his old paper UK licence he kept in the car, before we had cards, and got a nice fine). Basically the vehicle has to be totally legal when driven by anyone which is why our insurance is based on the car not the person.
