Default Welsh roads and reservoirs

Evo magazine recommended a couple of driving roads in central Wales. So what better way to get those running-in miles under the belt than to spend a few days in and around the Elan Valley where the roads and the reservoirs are rather splendid!! The A4069 between Upper Bryamman and Llangadog is one of these roads and includes a proper hairpin! Reminded me of our drive of the famous Stelvio Pass in many ways.

Anyway, here are some photos. Hope you like reservoirs!

The McLaren was on a photo shoot for XCar magazine. Sounded lovely echoing around the hills.

Looks like a lovely drive, although wet in a few photos, can't drive through Wales without some rain

After some enjoyable driving, this car is definitely more Subaru than Toyota! The paint code is a Subaru colour, lots of parts are stamped Subaru, including the engine, and you can feel the DNA. But then it was built by Subaru. Perhaps I need to change the badges over.......................

Here it is when it was clean! Pick up the new spoiler next week! Woohoo!!

I'd be up for that, could link it up with a rally up on Epynt

A470/A4059/A4067/A4069 through the Beacons are all lovely roads, B4520/B4519 heading north of Brecon is not bad on the drive north towards Rhayader, then take the B4574 though the Elan Valley which is stunning with damns and waterfalls etc.
