Turbo Whine

Hi all,

Seem to get a lot of whine out of the turbo even when I'm only slightly on boost.. Particularly noticeable on the motorway. Is this just part of the scooby charn or would getting it looked at be sensible?

Car is an 05 STI, circa 40k on the clock, Prodrive pack from new
