Default Clutch change - Engine or Gearbox out?

Just interested from anyone that's tried it either or both ways.
Which is easiest?
I'm tempted to pull the engine just so I can paint the engine bay!

If doing it your self and a 6 speed engine out 100%
If it's a 5 speed about the same both ways if you have no ramp

It's a six speed box and we'll be changing it ourselves on a driveway /garage.
Looks like we'll pull the engine then. Thanks

watched my 6 speed clutch get changed by dropping gearbox out (but it was up on a 2 post with the use of a cradle etc), quite a bit less to disconnect than pulling the engine. but more awkward without a lift I guess
