Default Think I'll change my name to unlucky!

3 weeks ago went out to my car to find this

Fortunately the guy that did it left all his details so all sorted and got the car back last week

Then yesterday, this

No number this time

suppose at least it wasn't the scoob. And one of the reasons I don't have one at the moment due to people's lack of parking abilities.

Hope you get it sorted ok and someone comes forward with a number..

It's really irritating when people clonk your car, but if they have the good sense to acknowledge their mistake you just have to get over it.

But, when people bugger off or act like there's no problem it makes my blood boil.

Looks like an awkward dent that too. Hope you get it sorted okay.

I had a woman open her door into my car whilst I was in it, chip the paint, then accuse me of being on the make! She knew she had hit the car, she could see she had damaged it, but wouldn't have it.

She's lucky I am old fashioned. If it was a bloke I'd have lumped him one! I was utterly incensed.

At the other end of the spectrum, the guy who smacked my 306 and wrote it off admitted fault, couldn't have been more apologetic and was a true gent about it. I was disappointed to see my car mangled, but his attitude certainly made the whole thing as bearable as possible.

Nothing worse then knowing someone's lack of respect for other people's things leaves them thinking it's ok to ignore what they have done and wonder off as if nothing ever happened.

People can make mistakes and have a little bump now and then, if it happens it is not to much to expect someone to do the decent thing and own up about it.

Probably just venting some frustration on my part here too as someone keyed my Scoob the other week so know how you are probably feeling. Whilst my car is not a perfect example bodywork wise it's the frustration and annoyance you want to vent to the guilty party that makes these situations tough.

You have to pay for it, they get away with it! Hope you get it all sorted ok.

Its one of the main reasons I don't have a scoob at the moment. If it was tucked away in the garage then it would be fine, but using it for work, it was happening all the time to it. I think I had 3 back bumpers on the hawk (though one we know what happened to it )

Few years back i was parked legally in a disabled bay with the extra wide chevrons to allow door opening etc , came back to my lexus to find an old git had squeezed his car into the non space between my car and the next and was busily trying to push my lexus sideways by repeatedly opening his unopenable door against my car - when i remonstrated i he tried to run me over ,, many witnesses and the guy was truly dangerous as well as damaging so went to police ,, he had had his licence revoked thru failed eyesight etc ,, i was pressing charges but in the end it was so much aggro i dropped it once i was given assurances he had been officially banned in court for driving onnthat day - people never cease to amaze

Hope you get it sorted and thats the last ine for you mr unlucky

That is unbelievable, I feel for you mate and I can see why you don't have a scoob for work!
This is why I have a cheap civic runaround, if I take the s2000 out I will not leave it anywhere, it goes out the garage gets driven the comes home and goes back in the garage. You really can trust no one as people have no respect for other people's cars or property. Very sad really when you think about it that we have to do this just to look after our own hard earned cars.

Thats pretty crap Steve. Were you parked in Longridge?, people seem to dump their cars anywhere rather than walk 10ft and don't care what they hit. Open an office over here, estate agents fees are between 5 & 8%, parking is free and easy. I took the Scoob out today for a burst and in 30kms saw 8 cars, bliss!
