Turbo noise
Hello there. I have found a vacum hose about 3" with a 90 deg turn on one end floating around near the turbo area. I cannot see where it has come from as the boost solenoid and fuel rail vacums are still in place.
When on boost the turbo makes a loud whining noise like a steam kettle boiling/ whistling. Could this be related? There is also a very small amount of oil residue around the top of the turbo near the actuater. But there is no smoke oming from the exhaust at all? Anyone got any idas? Thanks

Re: Turbo noise
The VF24/28/29 are normally quite kettle like once the boost is increased and you have a decat.
Not sure where the hose is from, the only 90 degree one I can think of vents from the boost solenoid back into the inlet manifold to the right of the header tank. |
