Run Flats
Alright people, just thought I would share my run flat experience with you. My e93 320d was shod with Bridgstone Potenza's Run Flat's they were the original tyres on the car and were cracking up a bit. I'm going to do a fair bit of driving in it over the next week or so and opted to get some new tyres. I went to the go to tyre which is the Michelin Pilot Sport 4s. I'd read things about run flats being crashy and all that but this is really the first time I have driven runflat v a normal tyre to do a compare against. The tyres are 225 35 R19 255 30 R19 so pretty low profile. The ride quality now is night and day. Much more complient and far less initial shock as the tyre hits a road feature. I can't believe how much it has improved the car and equally how shocking the runflats were to begin with.

Mine was the same on the F30 325d. I'm sure there's an element of good new tyres vs old hard rubber - whether run-flats or not, but the ride is certainly improved and less crashy without them.

Exactly why we swapped Olivers Dunlop Run Flats for Toyo Proxes T1S. It made a massive difference to the ride and how it copes with bad road surfaces and pot holes.
