Default Retro fit turbo on na ej20?

Do you guys think it would be safe or just engine killer??

If your car is an NA EJ20 I would personally just sell it and get a WRX. By the time you turbo your NA car and have paid for piping,fabrication , injectors , intercooler, ECU etc... you will still only have a car which is less reliable than a WRX. Let Subaru do the hard work for you and buy one of their purpose built turbo cars

This.

Not worth the effect, and you'll have a nightmare trying to get it all working.
It's all the little things that make it impossible - as above, plus stuff like the wiring loom being wrong (think boost control solenoid etc).

I got all the parts and time and I'm definitely getting myself a wrx at some point 😁

Honestly mate I still think it's best to spend your hard earned spare time and money on a better project an NA ej20 is just not cut out for boost. Im not a subaru engine expert but Im certain the pistons, compression ratio etc... are going to be made for NA setup only. The turbo on your picture looks like it would blow my wrx up never mind a NA block aha

That turbo will throw a rod in about 3 pulls lol.
Drop a wrx engine in or buy another,
