Default Oil pressure gauge and fitting

This is something i would like to do seen the gauge to match my boost one and have got the twin pod.Now from what i have seen i need to get a kit which fit's in to the oil pressure switch hole with a connector on the end to take both senders. There seams to be a few of these on e-bay stating different threads which one would i need or any recommendations. The gauge says it comes with fitting kit so i take this as the right sender for the gauge and this sender to be a standard thread for the connector on the pipe. Also the gauge is 0-7bar is this high enough.Any pictures of this sort of set up in the engine bay would be great as i really can not see a place to mount it.Thanks :P

Default Re: Oil pressure gauge and fitting

the gauge will probably come with a sender using a 1/8NPT thread (looks a bit like an M8, ish)

you will need an adaptor to fit this into your block.
Use the spare blanking plug above No.3 piston, which is just in front of the turbo

i.e you get another blanking plug that has a hole in the top tapped to 1/8npt for your sender.

found one here.....

If your sender is too big too get in the gap above, then you will have to fit http://www.scoobyparts.com/acatalog/LMA ... PIECE.html

although the above talks BSPT, whereas most gauges seem to be NPT.
It may be an american/UK thing which re actually the same.
