Default Dead Red Mitsi......... i

Neighbours Mitsubishi i-car in dead red

a few before to give you and idea of the nice red that I had to work with....

Starting out with a small test pass to work the best combination of product / pad... you can see existing on the left hand side and light pass on the right...

Could see some potential and a small tweek of the product and started doing my thing
You can see the existing finish on the right..... and left has had two passes working across the panel........ its starting to come alive..

Same on the roof area..... two initial passes per area to get a good base

After third pass, starting to refine now, the red is showing still better depth and clarity but still better to be achieved....

After another pass, clarity much better and certainly more depth already

and here she is parked in its own little spot after a glaze and wax......

will require another coat of wax in the next couple of days once this ones fully cured.........but overall a bit of a transformation

I know how difficult it is keeping a red car looking reasonably fresh, had a red Mk1 Astra once and would be turning pink again every 6 months (this is before the days of proper Polish and wax and just a bit of t-cut)

Autosmart trim ultra and highstyle....

Trim ultra is great at restoring plastic but you need to fully clean the plastic first.... Very strong APC and IPA clean normally does the trick....

Trim ultra can be a bugger to get right though and needs ideally a single very light application... It doesn't like being gone over again if that makes sense.... It also needs to be left for at least 4hrs ish before it gets wet...... After you've used it though you can go over the top with your usual trim stuff

I remember doing an Alfa Romeo 75 with my dad years ago that was horrific.

Obviously we aren't up to Ron's standards, but it came up a treat. I genuinely did not believe it would be possible, given how shagged it looked!
