hi no the my97 and my98 cant be mapped. your best bet is to get a my97/my98 3 plug apexi power fc of ebay unless anyone on here has one for sale. on ebay expect to pay between £300 an £500

i dont no the ecu code for the version 3 but if it is an sti3 then yes it will run your car and run slightly more boost but sti3 runs also runs yellow 440 injectors were as your car will have grey 380 injectors so you may want to check with someone before you fit it to be safe as you dont want you car to run lean.

you have the wrong turbo and injectors just for starters for the STi ECU............

dependant on hat your after longer term you would probs be better looking at the ESL motherboard that can be mapped........not sure if its just been released or is about to??

got sent this pm the other day on scabbynet
"hi power engineering did a uk 8s 3plug ecu daugther board. this wasnt mappable but was stage 2. with boost cut at 1.25 bar and fueling to match. these are quite rare to find. but worth looking into. i do have one spare if interested. my car made 280bhp 300ftlb on a td04 with turbo back exhaust and a cone filter. very safe no det. with a tdo5 and yellow 440s shoud see 300bhp."The guy wants £100 for it.Did have a look on the internet about the company but i dont know enough to know if this would be a good buy?

i can get my hands on a 6s ecu and have some 440's kickin around.. could this be worth a try???. i was once told that the cam profiles are different from wrx to sti and this would cause probs.. due to fuel timing, like spill timing on diesel engines..

very many things different on the sti.. injectors, maf, cams, valves, valve shims, pistons, turbo.. you will just kill the engine.

Apexi PowerFC or SimTek the main options..

ESL will eventually release a mappable board for it but not sure when, it has been nearly ready for a long time now.

Apexi or simtek. ESL have been nearly releasing the 97 board for about 3 years.
