Default Looks like I'll be needing a clutch then...

My clutch is slipping a little and want to get it replaced but there's two different sizes, 225 and 230. I assume one is for WRX and one for STI but I get the impression Ebay is contradicting itself by saying both will fit. Which do I need for my bug WRX? I don't want to upgrade as shes pretty standard so I'm guessing best to go for an excedy organic? Cheers folks

230 is late classic and new age and 225 is early classic, although the 225 does fit newage it's better to fit 230 to your bug

Bugger! If it wasn't for the little problems the forum is having at the moment i'd have bought one. Got it from ebay half an hour ago, couple of quid more expensive but its on its way. Thanks anyway

I've just had a chat with a guy at Austec in Crawley as i asked for a quote for fitting. I fully expected this to be expensive but thought i'd ask regardless. He reckons theres a choice of two clutches for mine but won't know which one to fit til he's got the old one out. Is this right? If so, i might have ordered the wrong one... that'll be annoying!

Austec were expensive as expected so didn't hold much hope. They've done work on my dads Tuscan before and he's always been pleased so could have well improved since you went Dom. Regardless, it's going to East Sussex mobile services in the morning as the clutch kit turned up today
