Default Which turbo to gain 300-320bhp?

I currently have a WRX PPP with HRC fuel pump, Pro R Air filter, STI intercooler, Afterburner resonated centre section and Prodrive back box (dyno'd at 259bhp). I have a Prodrive Sportscat and a decat up pipe to fit, and will be looking at getting STi pink injectors.

I would like to gain 300-320bhp with a remap. I don’t want to go any higher as ideally I would like to keep the 5 speed gear box.

What is the ideal turbo to do this? I would like it to spool as early as possible. Was thinking TD04H but wondered what else there is to consider?

vf28 would be my choice.
good for around 330-340bhp but due to it being a rollerball turbo it has similar spool up to tdo4

if you dont want to spend alot on a turbo have a look threw the classifieds as robevo5 has a vf24 for a good price

Assuming this is a newage - I'd get a VF34/35 preferably 34

I've before VF34 which is probably best for 350bhp,great and spooly turbo and with right setup you have nice 350bhp

VF35 is good turbo too,if you are looking for better spool,but in my view VF34 is hard to beat.

it all depends on what your looking for as an end result.
vf28 will get you 320-330 easy but the vf35 will do 350 easy but has more lag than a vf28.

really if you only want 300-320 you want the smallest turbo capable of meeting that to minimse lag.

I do realistically only want 300-320 and am certainly looking to minimise lag. Had heard that vf28 turbo's were quite old now, thats why i was considering a TD04H but dont fancy paying out for a new one. The VF turbos seem to come up for sale more often. Not looking to buy right now, just trying to plan it all so I can get it sorted for next year

generally speaking the only td04 that will do 300 is an AFP breathed one (or similiar), std ones will only do high 200's at best (and need all supporting mods to be perfect)
