Default blanking off BOV

this allways seems to split the comunity when asked but here goes .I have a JDM wagon with a VF 29 turbo(standard) ,can i get rid of the BOV and go with out ?
I know some turbos are better suited to this ,but which ones ?
I also have heard it can shorten the life of the turbo.I know its like asking how long is a piece of string but are we talking days ,months years???

As others have said, is fine to blank off the DV on a TD turbo, but not yours.

Would put a bit of Bailey's on my car personally. There DV's use old skool style diaphrams and on newage cars stay open.

I did a test of my own a little while back on DV's, Recirc , Dual DV/Recirc, DV delete.
Recirc or DV Delete for me.

As Anger has said wouldn't bother blanking off on your turbo.

VF30+ seem to be fine with delete.

Steve
