Exhaust, decent panel filter, prf7b plugs, decent oil (millers nanotechnology or the like 10w50), and then visit Charlie and C.J at SRR to have them set it all up

Walbro 255lph fuel pump and Harvey smith trick up pipe and ported headers could be sensible if ur going the whole hog - again alyn would help with all those especially the ha trick up pipe... And power wise I wouldn't know as mine hasn't been mapped yet (just had all above fitted) but hopefully somewhere around 350 ish but sure someone else with a lot more knowledge than me can give something more accurate

Also think about decent tyres, and good quality brake pads (pfz's) and maybe update ur clutch when next due although think standard will cope - again I await someone far more knowledgable than me to confirm

TD05 is standard for a 96WRX if it's a saloon.
Despite what you may hear all Pre 97 Saloon have TD05 90 Degree entry fitted.
Only the WRX Wagon had TD04 and all Post 97 models had different TD/VF variations fitted.

Your ECU can be mapped by Duncan by fitting an ESL daughterboard inside. This retains all the OE ECU safety features but allows Duncan to live map it.

Your limitation will be the 2.5bar map sensor (1 bar atmospheric, 1.5 boost pressure) which only allows 1.2bar to be run with a fuel-cut safety mechanism still in place.

The standard 380cc injectors will also be maxed out at that level, as will the intercooler.

To go 300BHP+ you will need to address all of the above.
£295+VAT : ESL Daughterboard
£200 (a guess) : Race Dynamix Tune
£120 - £600 (dependant on source/quality) : Injectors
£30 - £100 (dependant on source) : Map Sensor
£100 - £300 : Intercooler

All MAF on Pre96 are the same.
97/98 have different MAF depending on whether UK or Jap, with Jap catering for higher flow.
99 > All use the same

Agree with what has been said thus far.

Harvey pipe from Alyn to go with my ported headers was one of my favourite mods on my classic.

You may be able to get injectors to suit cheaper, as have seen 550's under 100 that seemed pretty good and sold by reputable sellers.

Thing is I think you will need the lateral adaptor kit often as you will be doing phase 2 injectors into 1/1.5 rails.

Duncan does ESL I think 500 or 550 mapped, installed, and done on the dyno at SRR.

Definitely the best way forward.

OK Cool thanks for the help and the replies and advice, best start building a pile.of new bits and get over 300, I know the box's are pretty chocolate after about 300 ish if the torque matches, so I think I'll go 5 speed dccd and matching rear different as like the acceleration rather than fast speeds, list gets longer plus a decent clutch
