Angry Subaru Parts Prices

Subaru are something else when it comes to genuine parts!

Got a problem with my alternator, so getting a new one in before Germany obviously.

Anyhow, I get 2 prices, one for a genuine Subaru part. One for a reconditioned one. Now, I knew there would be a cost difference but not in a million years did I guess how much.

Reconditioned Just under £200.00 inc vat.

Genuine Subaru part at ..........

Just under £1000.00 inc VAT

The greedy ****s!

Just drop it into SAE in Ore village and get your existing one reconditioned, git to be easier and cheaper if you're near Hastings. If you're not near Hastings I'll just shut up as I don't know who else reconditions starters and alternators nowadays.

Who did you speak to at subaru, Dick Turpin? Bloody ridiculous money. We have just replaced one on my business partners RR sport and that was only £278 brand new and has to power more lights than are on the palace pier.

Feck that, Subaru are having a laugh with prices like that

There's plenty of these cars being broken for parts nowadays, so i'd be looking on scoobynet for a 2nd hand one before going any where near paying that kind of money!

Dave Hollamby was absolutely dumbstruck at the cost when he told me!

My reply had a big fat " F " at the start! Hence the reason he had the recon price lined up.

Robbing bastards

Holy sweet mother of god!!! That is crazy, I got a price for one for a SVX & it was more than the cars worth £1350+ vat.

I just ordered some bolts for a yamaha Jetski & that wasn't cheap @ £135.35.

Think main dealers are really taking the piss.

When will these company's learn, at them sort of prices they will NEVER sell one so make zero profit, now if they dropped the price to a reasonable level they WILL sell some and make a profit, common sense really
