4 years and time for new oils.
Just been looking through my service file.
Its 4 years since i changed the diff and gearbox oil. Noticed that the fuel filter was last changed in 2002, oops Trouble with it just sitting around. Did just over 700 miles in 20 months. So its time to get all my oils and service bits together, going to get local garage to do it this time,i must be getting old. Question is? What Gearbox, Diff and engine oil is now recomended, and where from? Aslo should i get fuel and oil filter from subaru direct? Thanks all |

Re: 4 years and time for new oils.
Yep, 4 for the box and 1 for the diff.
Although I have never managed to get 4 in the box or 1 in the diff, but thats what the book says. Tip for doing box is to attach a 2ft tube to the oil bottle, then slide this into the gearbox dipstick hole..makes it a bit easier on the back whilst standing and squeezing the bottle. |
