Yep, I had my Hawk remapped twice by Simon (JGM) - best thing I did since buying the car.
The first remap is a bit more expensive since you have to buy the 'licence' for the software, but after that each map is cheaper...

Presume you have supporting exhaust mods, etc to get the proper benefit...

My Hawk went from standard to nearly 280bhp, but the torque increase was massive, up to 330lbft. But then the Hawks gain torque really easily! I just had a different BB, straight through CC and 1 decat, cat in the downpipe is still standard.

Simon is really good - couldn't recommend him enough...

Hope that helps,

J.

Ecutek is a good map, in many ways on road my car was better on Ecutek than the Syvecs, but there were a lot of differences!

Probably should clarify my post!

When running ECUtek my car was much lighter modded e.g. Fuel pump exhaust and filter, and was a much milder mannered car running smoother at idle (due to MAF) and was easier to drive - now I don't think for one second that Ecutek could run my car now (in fact due to AVCS I know it couldn't) nor would it be as capable but for driving on road the ECUtek map (again by Simon) with the lightly modified 2.0 was a better package.

The Syvecs actually makes the built 2.5 highly drivable on road but the overall package now makes for harder work in traffic, and around town etc. something that most that drive highly modded cars would probably agree with

So its the mod level not the syvecs v ecutek?

Clutch heavy and snatchy is usually the biggest issue.
