Default skyline gts

hi all has anyone been out in a skyline gts r33 with a few mods ? Just wont to no what they go like compared to an evo - impreza as i like the pull of a big engine . dont no what there like to live with but i dont need to drive it day to day .

I very nearly bought an R34 but was put off by the weight.

I still do love them but a Skyline running say 500 Bhp will not be as quick as a Classic running 400

My other half had one, standard the impreza and evo feel alot better acceleration wise but there great for tail end action

A friend had a 480bhp one with the plate R33 SKY, i couldnt keep up over 70mph in a 410bhp RA

They are quick when up to speed, but take longer to get there.

Different league in running costs. 2 of my friends had GTS's, and they were massively more money to run than their Impreza's or Evo's.

The straight 6 sounds lovely though.

As Moley said up and running there better for top end and definetly good sideways fun.. Very strong engine by all accounts, my mate drives it like he's stolen it from cold and it's never missed a beat!!

R32 GTS was only 2.0 compared to the 2.5 in the R33, so totally different engines

R32 GTR (2.6 TT) was the strong one IIRC

They have there weakness like any other car. If you walk into Sumo you will see 7 or 8 various Skyline's there all with engine & other probs. They will still be there when we go to visit early next year Once sorted they are strong.
Supra is the kiddy as far as strong engines are concerned 600bhp none forged. Std gearbox to
