Default Brake issue

A little help needed, only had my hawkeye for a couple of weeks, on several occasions the engine braking seemed drastic, this evening I got out of the car and noticed a very funny toxic smell from the front wheels, the front discs were boiling hot, only driven 2 miles and didn't brake hard anywhere and it's wet outside.
Can anyone give any advice?

Sounds like either one or both the front calipers are binding/stuck.
It's a common fault on the Subaru 4-pot calipers.
The only solution is new, refurbed or the cheapest option is to get your current ones stripped cleaned and resealed.

As Scott has said, the 4 pots are notorious for sticking, whip the calipers off and see if all the pistons move. You may be lucky and find they're just sticking and need a strip down and clean (contact A S Performance for a new set of seals, dust boots and circlips), otherwise it's time for a refurbed set from the likes of Godspeed.

As above, good luck with Godspeed, they supplied me with rear hub liners which weren't round. Had to take them to an engineer to get them skimmed!! They denied all responsibility, I should have taken them to court.

Must admit, never used his engineering services, only had discs and pads from him and he was helpful, good price and fast delivery.

Actually they supplied rear drums with liners fitted. Had Brentwood at SMD fit them, but from day one they made a noise. Went back to SMD who took them of an found hotspots. Took them to a precision engineer who found them to be oval.

They where fine and helpful while taking my money then problem arrived they did not want to know. Leaving my project 3months behind and me having to falk out another £250.00 for a refurb to sort the issue. And yes i give them a second chance to correct the problem which they could not still get right. There of the shelfs stuff is probly fine as they do not realy touch it but i would not deal with them again specialy after they threatend to take take me to court if i kept going viral with it....... lol good luck with that.

Default Brake issue

I have had new disks and pads from godspeed and since they have been fitted there is a slight rubbing/grinding noise coming from the back end when cornering and until reading this post I didn't give it a thought that it could be the disks!!!!
Hhhmmmmm....😳
