So you think I'll be safe this year, Martyn? If they catch me another time with 26 to much or more I'll have to walk for a month. :zoiks::zoiks:

In fairness mate, we were only there a few hours. Visited a couple of bars and had a coffee & cake in a cafe.

The only way I can describe where we went is:

From the big Church where the shops are, walk into the old square. As you walk into the square, look 90 degrees right and the first bar you see is where we went. After that, looking out into the square from the bar, to the left is an alleyway, go down there and there is a lot of cafes, small bars and restaurants etc. They all looked pretty good from memory.

Steve

The place we went to is called the "Oude Markt"

Which is to the rear of the town hall and to the right as you face the town hall (the steps we were on Martyn)

Map here:

Worried about crossing, worried about breaking car, and worried about not being able to get track insurance and potential consequences, has taken the edge of things for me big time

It won't be that bad Rob

The wind will be little more than a breeze now they are saying. And when it's from the north east it will flatten the water anyway.

thats what makes it an exciting trip mate

Crossing, im same as you on that one, but its only 1.5 hours max.

Car will be fine providing you dont do constant high speed runs like our Mr E

As for the ring, its bloomin dangerous and any twat can have you off, but the thril and rush is second to none, and i have money on it, that after one lap, you will be gagging to do more.

Cheers mate, found the oude markt, some great bars in that square. Also found a small street lined with restaurants, now stuffed from some cracking steak and beers

I intend to at least get one lap in just to say I've done it, but no doubt will end up getting caught up in the moment..

Good news re- weather and potential flat crossing.

Will throw a sponge over car tonight, and throw some bits in a bag and no doubt have a cracking weekend.
